Ms Amina Lanaya has been Director General of the UCI since January 2018. She is the first woman to occupy this position within our Federation. A qualified legal practitioner, Amina Lanaya first worked for international law firms in Paris, then Switzerland, before joining the UCI some 15 years ago. After working in the Federation’s Legal Service, she was appointed deputy Director General of the UCI in 2013 and acting Director General in 2017. The promotion of women in sport, the reinforcement of ethics and sustainable development are among the causes that are important to her.
